We took the bus from Krakow north to Wroclaw, and the train back to Krakow two days later. We visited Ian's friends in Wroclaw, Paul and Samaria. Paul and Samaria are both from upstate NY, but live in Wroclaw.
Wroclaw was completely re-build after being destroyed in the war. The city is beautiful, but the buildings certainly looks newer than those in Krakow.

Rye is the primary grain grown in Poland, and it's used to make vodka. When I asked our Polish friends about all the rye, they said most of it is being replaced by corn. I think I saw some fields of cabbage and potatoes as well.
Wroclaw town center.
Lots of Catholic churches.
Eastern European trains are my favorite.
